Nupoe Conference
In Oct 2010 Jenny was part of a team of 12 from church (COC) travelled 12 hours South to Nupoe refugee camp - "home" to 24,000 Karen and Burmese refugees.
We went to lead a children's and youth conference and to give leadership training.
The training was translated into Burmese and also into Karen language.

We had around 500 children at the children's conference. The format was Powerpack style. We used "Altogether Dramas".which we have found work very well even when being translated. We had also translated 4 simple Powerpack songs into Burmese. It was a blessing to see the children worship singing "Holy Spirit Come".

Another highlight was when 200 children performed the drama "The Voice of Truth" (by Casting Crowns). This is one of the drama songs that we have already translated and recorded as a resource in Thai language.
In the leaders training, everyone cheered enthusiastically as they heard examples from the Bible of how God has used children and young people as agents of transformation on a national scale.
Please pray that:
- The local team will be able to continue help the children develop a deeper relationship with God.
- That the children will be able to reach out to their families and friends within the camp.
- We will continue to be able to encourage and help them in their work through teaching and resources.
