On Christmas Day there weren't many children at church but those who attended did an excellent job performing a dance with sign language to the track "Saviour of the World".

Children Sing for the Governor

BSF_SIngForGovernor

The children of Baan Saan Fan once again had the opportunity to be Nation Shakers.

They visited the government offices and sang carols and songs in Thai and English to bless teh Governor of Chiang Mai.

The governor was visibly moved by the sung blessings of the children and offered his support for the future.

Let's remember whose Birthday we are celebrating!

Two retired couples from America are serving for a year with the home and the school. This year they organised a turkey and ham fest for the party.

The children blessed us by presenting the dance dramas that they had prepared. This year Jenny taught the younger children a dance which included sign language to the song "Saviour of the World". Esther taught the older ones a stick dance to a Thai version of "Holy Night".

Christmas Blessings! 2011

Blessings in a Bag

CIMG4836 P1010777

Christmas is a great time to share blessings with children and staff at children's homes that we are involved with in the region of Northern Thailand.

Each of the children will receive a bag of goodies (like a Christmas stocking), which will include:

  • School supplies e.g. exercise books, pencils, coloured pencils.
  • Hygiene items e.g. toothbrush, soap, shampoo, lip balm, talc, deodorant.
  • Some treats e.g. candy and cookies.
  • In the winter season it gets quite cold up in the mountains and there even be a frost. This feels really cold when there are no sealed windows or heating. Warm hats, gloves and socks can help the children to keep warm.
  • A new item of clothing e.g. a T-shirt.

Hoay Maw - Nov 2011

P1100684 On Tuesday 11th November we visited Hoay Maw.

It was good to see Paul and Rattanaporn and their two children who are growing up fast!

Paul is waiting for a visa to return to Taiwan to continue Bible school. Rattanaporn has done an excellent job to get the accounts up to date.

The receipts show that they have been able to purchase healthy food for the children incuding a variety of vegetables and protein.

World Vision have helped reinforce the concrete fish tank which had collapsed. One of the three tanks cannot be repaired but the other two tanks have been substantially reinforced with concrete and they are raising two batches of cat fish.

They have raised some egg laying hens from baby chicks and the egg farm is producing well.

We thank God for every person who helped, prayed and served together.
