A highlight of the Powerpack conference this year was the amazing team of about 60 members: International and Thai, adults and children that was involved in so many areas.

On behalf of Powerpack, I would like to thank everyone who was involved.

I have tried to credit everyone here but if you or someone you know has been left out, please let me know.

Heather Thompson travelled from the UK to speak at two conferences in Chiang Mai and at Hoay Maw. Powerpack UK funded Heather's flight. We are so thankful that Heather and Powerpack have made this investment of time and money for Heather to visit Thailand for the 3rd year running. We believe that is because God is at work to impart something special for children's ministry in these days!

Mirjam Kumdee translated for most of the conference.

Merry joined us and did a wonderful job of translating for the evening celebration.

Our workshops were prepared and led by:

  (the song "Voice of Truth" was recorded in Thai by Warodom Khan-ura (Dough)

• Prophetic - Marlene Allen and Little

• Worship - Jenny McKechnie and Yui

Marit Hyttedalen had oversight of the teams for prayer, refreshments, ushering and setting up the venue. Violet Layman organised the refreshments team. Team members included: John & Eileen Fethkener, Marian Lao, Marielle & Jurianne Van de Stratten, the Bird, Hyttedalen, May, Oliver & Sunnset families.

Bonnie Sue Walker organised the registration with Yo & Mint.

The Sunnset family and other helpers made hundreds of gospel bracelets and Heather made the gospel pins for the shop and for gifts.

A lot of work went on behind the scenes in preparation, prayer, shopping, practising so many, many thanks to everyone who was involved.

It was a pleasure and an honour to work together and we look forward to what has in store for the future.

Thank you also to C.O.C. House of Praise for allowing us to use the great facilities and for sponsoring the use of the car park for our convenience and safety.

This weekend Powerpack Thailand (aka us) had the privilege of taking an international Powerpack Team to Hoay Maw to run two days of children's leaders training, children's workshops, celebration, and finally, Sunday church service.

A more complete report will follow later once we have recovered!

A brief video below shows the children enjoying the new Powerpack "More & More!" Thai audio CD we released in January. The Thai songs are based on the English Powerpack "More!" album (plus songs from other Powerpack albums).

The video starts with the team performing a number of the songs on the church's balcony.

The international Powerpack team included Thais, Americans, Canadians, Norwegians and British - (sorry - no Irish involvement...).

Although the British contingent were experienced "Powerpackers", this was only the 1st or 2nd time the others had been involved in a Powerpack event - this did not hinder them entering fully.

We were especially proud of the three young Thai team members from COC House Of Praise who were a wonderful role model to the children - it was a privilege for all of us to work along side them!

This year the Powerpack Children's Ministry Conference - "More!" - is a further opportunity to learn and experience how children can know the reality of God's presence and the power of His Holy Spirit at work in and through their lives.

Leaders’ Conference - Friday 7-9.30pm & Sat 9am-12noon

Pastors, Directors of Children’s Homes, Children’s Ministers and Parents, are you interested in what God is doing in the lives of children around the world? Come, catch the fire and learn how to prepare and equip our children to be powerfully used by God.

… Followed by a Children’s Conference, providing a hands-on opportunity for leaders to experience the equipping of children in areas of ministry...

Children’s Conference - Sat 2pm-5pm (Children age 6 and over)

Children, do you want to become a God Chaser and a Nation Shaker? Come, discover and develop the gifts that God has given you - prayer, worship, prophecy, preaching, and drama.

(Younger children who are already developing in ministry may attend but only if accompanied by an adult).

New Thai Powerpack Praise and Worship CD

At the conference we will be releasing the brand new Powerpack CD, "More & More!", fresh worship for Thai children. 10 Powerpack praise and worship songs have been translated into Thai and recorded with a Thai children's choir.

Included with the CD are additional PC resources to help you learn and use the songs:

• Simple piano melody score and guitar chords
• Song words in Thai and in English
• Full quality backing tracks
• Samples of the English versions of the songs

We are now awaiting the reproduction of the Powerpack Thai CD, "More & More!".

It has been a fairly intense period of translation, review, recording, mixing, artwork preparation and liaising with the printer.

The CD is a collection of 10 Powerpack songs selected across 4 albums.

The songs have been translated into Thai language with input from a broad team including: myself (Jenny Oliver), my Thai teacher (Khruu Oo),
The manager of Ban San Faan (Malee) and her husband (Brian), a worship leader from a Thai church (Dough), a Thai Grace student (Sup), our
Thai co-worker (Niti), and the older girls at Ban San Faan (Sarah, Hope, and Peach).

We were blessed to be able to use the full-quality backing tracks and artwork produced by Powerpack, UK.

The Ban San Faan children formed the children's choir with lead vocals by Yui, Somkhit and Bebe (young people from our Thai congregation).

The recording was done at CCI Studios (Christian Communications Institute) which I guess is the equivalent of the UK ICC Studios!

The CD will include additional PC resources such as the piano score and guitar chords, Thai and English lyrics, backing tracks and samples of the English songs.

We hope that his will be a blessing and a resource for Thai children.

The CD will be released at the upcoming Powerpack conference which Heather Thompson will be coming out to lead.
